Are US relations with Indonesia more than just support for anti-terrorism ? What is the US view of protests against US investments in mining and energy ? How is the US supporting the economic reforms of the Indonesia's President, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono ?   This briefing is an excellent opportunity to engage with the State Department's point person for Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Eric G. John is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service.  He joined the Foreign Service in 1983 and has served primarily in East Asia.  He assumed his current position in the Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs in June 2005.  From 2002 to 2005, Mr. John was the Minister Counselor for Political Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Korea.
